Appellate court permits Florida church to resume worship services

A Florida church can now resume in-person worship services after a state appeals court temporarily lifted a lower court injunction against the congregation, Decision Magazine reported. In a Jan. 30 ruling, the report said, Florida’s Fifth District Court of Appeal nullified a Jan. 23 decision that had barred Coastal Family Church in Flagler Beach from meeting on its property amid an ongoing lawsuit.

The lawsuit was reportedly filed in August 2025 by Flagler Square — JAX, Inc., a condominium association that manages the outdoor mall where the church is located. The association contended the church’s gatherings violated condominium rules and would create parking issues. The church had moved services online following the initial injunction, the report said.
