Every Friday evening, the empty parking lot of St. Matthew Catholic Church in Phoenix, Arizona, comes alive as members of Centro Cristiano de Alabanza y Adoracion arrive to offer food, encouragement and prayer to the homeless, Arizona Portraits reported.
Pastor Enrique Borja hopes to expand the ministry. “There are a lot of people sleeping behind the freeway,” he said. “We want to go to those places. We can do a little more. I hope we can do better.”
