More and more churches are seeing first responder rooms as an opportunity to show love to their community, and Biltmore Church in western North Carolina is one of them. They will open their second first responder room – this one at their East Asheville campus – on Aug. 9.
The Worship Initiative recently announced a new digital hub called SBC Worship — to support music ministers and worship teams and equip them to sing the truth of Scripture.

In his report to the Southern Baptist Convention on June 11, Ben Mandrell said Lifeway’s role is to “build things for the body of Christ,” not to be one-size-fits-all.
“Since I became IMB president, because of your generosity not one IMB missionary has come home due to financial need. Thank you,” said Paul Chitwood during the International Mission Board report.
“We want to help you keep the Great Commission front and center,” Sandy Wisdom-Martin told messengers to the Southern Baptist Convention annual meeting.
“We have so much to be thankful for at the North American Mission Board and for what we have seen God do this past year,” said Kevin Ezell, president of the North American Mission Board.
SBC President Clint Pressley said it is “no small thing that we’ve been held together for so long by one confession,” noting that he wanted to “celebrate what has held us together what has held us together these 100 years.”
Brent Leatherwood, president of the Southern Baptist Ethics & Religious Liberty Commission, said his entity had two defunding questions on its plate June 11 as he delivered ERLC’s report to the Southern Baptist Convention annual meeting in Dallas.
“Throughout this convention, we are erecting memorial stones of 100 years of cooperation demonstrated through the Cooperative Program,” said Jeff Iorg, president of the SBC Executive Committee.
