Danny Rangel, online and young adult pastor at BT Church in McAllen, Texas, says people ages 18–29 face what he calls “life’s big decisions” regarding beliefs, ideologies, college, career, relationships and marriage.
“In the last three years, the shift has been staggering: 435,000 lost in 2020; 410,000 in 2021; and then 484,000 in 2022. In total, the [Southern Baptist Convention] has lost more than 1.3 million people in just three years.”
