“He’s sharing the gospel and building bridges with people,” said First Baptist Clarksville pastor Ronny Raines. “It’s really unusual to see someone like this. You don’t see many at that age having that kind of spiritual discernment.”

Jeff Dalrymple and Jeff Iorg, president/CEO of the SBC Executive Committee, fielded questions related to sexual abuse prevention Tuesday (Feb. 18) following the SBC Executive Committee meeting in Nashville.
During his message to the SBC Executive Committee, Jeff Iorg addressed how the SBC has moved forward in addressing and preventing sexual abuse and providing solutions to financial challenges.
SBCAL was started in 1960 as a way to train directors of missions and to provide networking opportunities for leaders of associations. Today, there are 780 members of SBCAL.
Baptist associations should commit to “discern next” in 2025 to achieve the lead role within Baptist life and fulfill the Great Commission.
“We honed in on four principles … more focused on the essence of church planting,” said Brian Hook, who is also a church planting catalyst for the North American Mission Board’s Send Network, a conference sponsor.
“When Hurricane Helene came through, we got hit with three feet of water … we lost about 90% of everything we owned,” said Ronnie Rentz. “I couldn’t even get into the house at first because all the water had picked up our furniture.”
