More than 40 students from First Baptist Church Zachary, Louisiana, have embraced God’s call to be missionaries in their schools, and subsequently have begun to see a spiritual harvest from their collective outreach efforts.
Faith-based arts and crafts retailer Hobby Lobby has donated a historic church building to the members of the NOLA Baptist Church in New Orleans, Louisiana.
The 2023 Youth Evangelism Celebration in Alexandria saw hundreds of Louisiana Baptist students make life-changing decisions for Christ.
“There are a lot of good quality young people who are being responsive to the gospel and obedient to the Lord’s calling on their lives,” the young adults minister said. “They are embracing the need to share Jesus and be disciples.”
“As time passed, I began to see God changing the mindset of our people,” Louisiana pastor says. “They began to see debt not as this mountain to climb but as a means through which God revealed Himself. We realized God had this.”
What happens when the pastor brings his homework to church? What if that homework assignment involves evangelism?
“To have someone with Mike’s intellectual acumen, love for America, principled convictions and Christian worldview as speaker of the House gives me great hope,” said Louisiana Baptist Convention Executive Director Steve Horn.
The first annual Prepare Here Conference hosted by the Jim Henry Leadership Institute of New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary, drew in 250 pastors, church ministry leaders, and spouses from across 10 states, October 12–13.
