‘Meet a Missionary’ Zoom calls help strengthen connections with missions field

WMU plans to hold more "Meet a Missionary" Zoom calls in the future to give people a chance to meet and connect with missionaries from New Mexico.

‘Meet a Missionary’ Zoom calls help strengthen connections with missions field

New Mexico Woman’s Missionary Union recently hosted a Zoom call for people to meet and talk to two overseas International Mission Board missionaries, Dorie McClair* and Brenda Jackson*. Around 40 people attended from 17 churches. WMU plans to hold more “Meet a Missionary” Zoom calls in the future to give people a chance to meet and connect with missionaries from New Mexico.

The two missionaries got up in the early hours of the morning for the call. Jackson left her camera off for security reasons throughout the call, but McClair left her camera on. Around 40 people from 17 churches participated in the call. Some came together as a church to watch the call, while others came together as families or individuals. Some called into the call and listened.
