OBITUARIES
- Vernell Daniels, who led at least 12 Mississippi churches over 64 years of ministry, died June 20.
- Joe Weideman Armour Jr., a minister who served churches including First Baptist Church Tupelo and FBC Clinton for nearly 40 years, died July 4. He was 72.
- Charles Hurshell Jones, who served as pastor, director of missions, associational staff, pastoral staff and prison ministry missionary, died July 6. He was 88.
- Robert Preston Cooper Jr., longtime pastor, died July 14. He was 74.

- Ann Woodhouse of First Church Corinth, Alcorn Association, recently celebrated 25 years as pianist.

- Tracey Byrd, ministry assistant for Jackson County Association, recently retired.
