Nigerian pastor and humanitarian Gideon Agwom Mutum received a handwritten death threat July 12 amid ongoing violence in the country’s southern Kaduna State. Daily armed assaults in the area following the July 5 kidnapping of dozens of students from a Baptist school have left 33 people dead, 215 homes destroyed and four churches burned to the ground, according to a statement by Relief and Intervention Committee of the Southern Kaduna People’s Union.
