A group of New Mexico Baptist Disaster Relief volunteers served in Hurricane-Milton-hit Florida for nearly two weeks, clearing fallen trees, cleaning up, and praying with people impacted by the storms.
By the time the hurricane hit Florida, Oct. 9, two other hurricanes had already crossed the state during 2024. Hurricane Debby made landfall Aug. 5. Hurricane Helene made landfall during September. Then, Milton hit in October. Each one left behind wind damage, collapsed trees, and flooding in some areas.
