Oregon church serves community with parade cleanup

How can picking up trash be a gospel ministry?

As the parade passes by, members of Highland Baptist Church, Redmond, Oregon, start serving the community by picking up any trash left behind, Northwest Baptist Witness reported.

“We encourage our people to be involved in living out your faith in the community, in the workplace, any way you can,” Pastor Barry Campbell said.

Members are involved in other local ministries such as a food bank and crisis pregnancy center.
