Proud named new executive director of Colorado Baptist Convention

Mike Proud has been named executive director of the Colorado Baptist General Convention beginning Dec. 1. He has been serving as director of missions for Orange County Baptist Association in California since 2011 and was moderator of the association prior to serving as DOM. Previously he served churches in Missouri, Colorado and California as a staff member for seven years and senior pastor for 17 years, including Trinity Baptist Church, Aurora, Colorado from 1998 to 2005. He also served as director of discipleship for Colorado’s Mile High Baptist Association from 1999 to 2003.

Proud has a bachelor of arts degree in Christian leadership from Colorado Christian University (1991), master of divinity degree (1994) and doctor of ministry degree (2001) from Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. He and his wife, Sally, have four adult children and two grandsons.
