Al Mohler, president of Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky, is in the hospital and “responding well to treatment” for blood clots in both lungs, according to a statement released on social media earlier today (April 15).
The statement said he was “receiving excellent care” for his diagnosis of bilateral pulmonary emboli. In 2007, he was also treated for blood clots in his lungs after a surgery to remove scar tissue from a previous operation.
Mohler “looks forward to returning to a full schedule” including his podcast, The Briefing, “in the coming days,” according to the statement.
