Bob Weeks recently notified the board of directors of the Baptist Foundation of Indiana that he was resigning from his position of president effective Sept. 30, due to health issues. Weeks noted, “I enjoyed my time at the Foundation and am looking forward to what happens next.”
Weeks began serving as BFI president in June 2022 in a new format in partnership with WatersEdge Ministry Services. As the BFI’s primary service provider, WatersEdge offers a variety of services to Indiana Baptists from estate planning, scholarships and charitable giving for families and individuals to loans, investments and accounting services for churches and ministries. WatersEdge will continue its partnership with BFI.
‘Faithfully and effectively’
Ryan Strother, executive director of the State Convention of Baptists in Indiana affirmed that Weeks “has served faithfully and effectively.” Noting that Weeks has introduced and educated many Indiana Baptist churches about the offerings of BFI, Strother added, “SCBI churches should be thankful for his work.”
The Baptist Foundation of Indiana will begin an immediate search for its next president. For more information about the part-time role, contact BFI board chairman Nick Kessler at nkessler@oakhillbc.org.
