Wes said the planes were nose-to-tail as far as you could see on Sept. 11, 2001.
“I used to work for the airlines … and at the time of 9/11, I was at DFW Airport,” he said. “We were at the airport that day, and I worked on the ramp, and we couldn’t do anything because no planes were moving, so we literally just sat in a break room and watched TV for two days, Tuesday and Wednesday, just waiting for any word to go start working again.”
They didn’t touch a plane for two days, Wes said. “We were in shock. I’ll never forget that time.”
