Kentucky Today, news service of the Kentucky Baptist Convention, is launching a new podcast designed to give readers more insight into the stories that are published.
While the SBC collects hundreds of millions in donations each year, very little is spent on overhead or oversight. Now, a series of lawsuits by pastors accused of abuse has left the denomination unable to pay its legal bills.
“It really gets to me when I tell people we’re from Flint,” Leo Robinson says, “They’ll say, ‘Oh, you must hate it there,’ or ‘You must not be able to leave.’ People always have something negative to say.”
Our mission is to serve the Church through trustworthy journalism.
As a nonprofit Christian news ministry, we seek to provide grace-filled, trustworthy reporting from a Christian worldview while keeping our content freely accessible online.
Support from readers and ministry partners allows us to continue equipping churches, informing individuals, and providing ministry resources at affordable rates. Would you prayerfully consider supporting this work?
