When police officers in Cabot, Arkansas, are called into action, Tina Frost is called into her ministry as volunteer chaplain with the Cabot Police Department.
She often rides with officers where she discovers opportunities to minister not only to victims but also to officers, Arkansas Baptist News reported.
“I am there to be a ministry of presence and help where I am needed,” said Frost, a member of Mount Carmel Baptist Church, Cabot.
Baptist disaster relief teams in multiple states continue to respond as lingering ice and freezing temperatures impact communities. More than 700 volunteers are engaged in feeding, warming centers, chainsaw cleanup and shower units.
They hold various signs proclaiming, “Jesus is Lord,” “Jesus saves me,” and “We can pray for you,” written in three languages — Chinese, English and Spanish. They also distribute gospel tracts, candies and other items.
