Before we criticize, remember that these believers also work behind the scenes, sometimes in hostile environments, sharing their faith in places we don’t know.
None of this is meant to minimize the importance of preaching the gospel, serving the community, or discipling believers. However, none of that will happen if you can’t communicate your message.
“As you pray for the victims of the fires in Los Angeles, I would suggest that rather than a generic ‘pray for LA,’ you get specific,” writes Phil Cooke. “The Bible encourages us to be specific in our prayers.”
“There are times when live-streaming isn’t a good idea. In fact, I’ve seen a few live-streamed services that made me cringe. … Here are a few times when I’d recommend you keep things local and not go online,” says Phil Cooke.
“One of the most deadly challenges for leaders are blind spots. Everyone has them,” writes Phi Cooke. “The worst leaders don’t realize it, while the best are constantly on guard because they know how deadly those blind spots can be.”
