Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary has named Scott Pace as their candidate to serve as its seventh president, according to an announcement on the seminary’s website Thursday (March 26).
Danny Akin, president of Southeastern Seminary and Judson College, has announced his plans to retire at the end of the 2025–2026 school year. His official retirement date is July 31, 2026.
Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary is mourning the loss of Keith Harper, retired senior professor of Baptist studies. Following a battle with lung cancer this past year, Harper passed away on April 23.
