With a pandemic-forced shutdown of wrestling at Bakersfield High School in California, Crossover Church of Rosedale, with safety protocols in place, opened its gym for wrestler training, the California Southern Baptist Convention reported.
Eighteen students went through the first seven-week training program.
Pastor Kyle Hogg led a devotional at each training session, resulting in several families connecting with the church.
“Everything we do works together to help reach [people] for Christ and the Church,” Hogg said.
