Nathan Harden felt called by the Lord to move out west and start a ministry of construction — construction and repairs on churches and pastors’ homes. He is still working in that field today, and he will until he feels called to change.

Messengers to the Southern Baptist Convention Annual Meeting voted June 11 to disaffiliate with First Baptist Church Alexandria, Virginia, by a ballot vote of 6,759 (91.78 percent) to 563 (7.65 percent).
A ballot vote for the next SBC president is scheduled to take place June 11 at 7:05 p.m. during the opening day of the 2024 SBC Annual Meeting in Indianapolis. The person elected will follow current SBC president Bart Barber.
