During a special called meeting, messengers of the Baptist Convention of Maryland/Delaware unanimously approved the sale of the state convention’s headquarters in Maryland.

Baptist relief efforts already underway in Florida following Hurricane Helene are temporarily on “pause” as Milton rolls toward the Tampa Bay area, but teams are ready to go once the storm passes.

The Arkansas Baptist Disaster Relief box ministry based out of Baring Cross Baptist Church in Sherwood recently deployed to Morgan City, Louisiana, where the unit ministered to people impacted by Hurricane Francine.

Georgia Baptist Disaster Relief continues to meet the physical and spiritual needs of people impacted by Hurricane Helene’s destructive path across Georgia.

“After seeing everything through news reports and on social media, we thought it was best to redirect our efforts,” said Jordan Willard, who serves as senior pastor of First Baptist Church Weddington, North Carolina.
