Iowa churches host weeklong soccer camps

Weeklong soccer camps in three different Iowa cities — Marshalltown, Waterloo and Perry — provided soccer instruction, snacks and a daily gospel message to about 170 children this past summer.

The camps were conducted through a partnership between Kairos Church and Cornerstone Church, both in Marshalltown, the Baptist Convention of Iowa reported.

“God provided some amazing evangelistic opportunities … through our soccer camp outreach,” said Israel Becerra, pastor at Kairos Church and Iglesia Bautista Hispana in Waterloo and also a church planting catalyst.
