It’s not often that a church says goodbye to a retiring pastor, installs a new pastor and ordains its first deacon all on the same day, but that’s exactly what Bethany Baptist Church, Layton, Utah, did April 18.
The church, a 37-year-old Korean congregation, bid farewell to Pastor Kyung Tae Cha who had served the congregation for 30 years, welcomed Raymond Kim as new pastor and ordained Sung Gil Kang as the church’s first deacon.
