Cornerstone Church, Marshalltown, Iowa, held its first public worship service on Easter.
Lead Pastor Steve Bensema said, “We are not launching a church today, just our worship service.
We have … been living, ministering and serving as the church in Marshalltown for … a while now.”
The new church grew out of a dream of Cornerstone Church in Ames, Iowa, which, as long as eight years ago, discussed launching a Marshalltown campus that would become an autonomous church, the Baptist Convention of Iowa reported.
