After nearly six years from the time its sanctuary was destroyed by a tornado, Mount Zion Baptist Church moved into a rebuilt sanctuary on Jan. 19.

“Our journey has always been about using technology to support the Church’s mission,” said Andrew Rogers, co-founder of Faith Assistant.
“When the crash happened, I got an alert on the Citizens app [and] I immediately knew that one of my members lived in that area, so I reached out to her,” said Philadelphia pastor Gerald Waters.
Two Christian converts from Islam who were locked in an Egyptian prison and held for three years without trial have been released, religious rights advocates said.
Pastor Roger Sherrer said, “It was the most impactful knock on a door I had ever made.”
Nearly 800 youth ministers and spouses from 21 different states attended this year’s three-day Conclave conference in Chattanooga last month.
“I remember praying to God, crying and saying, ‘God, I don’t have anywhere else to go. I don’t have any other reason for life. I need help, and I need you,’” Ethan Hollis said.
