Mount Horeb Baptist Church in Gates, Oregon, and the home of Pastor Richard Cole were destroyed in the 2020 Beachie Creek Fire. Working from the foundation up, Tennessee Baptist disaster relief teams have helped rebuild the church.
“So much of the good that’s available through humility in service and the cooperative efforts of Southern Baptists across the nation has been demonstrated in a northwest Oregon town,” stated a Northwest Baptist Witness social media post, referring to the Tennessee Baptist disaster relief teams’ work.
