We live in an age where people resist and even resent the idea of authority. A rugged individualism that says you cannot tell me what to do governs our thinking.
“We want this to be more than event,” said Sandy Wisdom-Martin, executive director of national WMU. “We pray those gathered to depart inspired and challenged to intentionally make disciples of Jesus who live on mission.”
This disaster not only comes after the region’s recent recovery efforts from Hurricane Helene but also amid severe winter weather conditions including snow and ice.
“Ministry is difficult, but it’s not complicated. It’s supposed to be simple. Share the gospel, make disciples, and build churches that send people to share the gospel, make disciples, and build churches,” Jeff Iorg said.

“I would say, it’s not so much on the back burner as it is we want to teach churches how to access databases that already exist … ” said Jeff Iorg, president and CEO of the Southern Baptist Convention Executive Committee.
“I believe what happened during Encounter Week was proof the students of this campus are craving the presence of God, so that when given the opportunity to seek him, they found him right where they were,” Armstrong said.
