
‘No reason to move’: Pastor reflects on 6 decades at same church
In many parts of Illinois, there are pastors who have stayed in their churches for 15, maybe 20 years. And some longer than that, like maybe 25. But few have stayed 60 years.

“Part of being a replant is starting everything from scratch,” Wyoming pastor says. “I didn’t realize that I might be a project manager as well as a pastor. It seems that way sometimes.”

Georgia Baptists are heading into a pair of evangelism conferences with a full head of steam, having seen a 30% increase in baptisms over the past year and more than 92% increase since 2020.

There will be two evangelism workshops held this spring in the Dakotas. Unlike previous years, each workshop will have a different theme and focus.

For most congregations and associations, a disaster response is rooted in a reactive, compassionate response to needs. Whether from personal connections, social media or other media, hearts are moved to “do something.”

Local and federal authorities continue to investigate a shooting at Joel Osteen’s Lakewood Church in Houston after a woman opened fire right before an afternoon service. The shooter was shot and killed and two others were wounded.

Attendees can network, share best practices and learn the latest methods for positively impacting their ministry. Training sessions will help sharpen their abilities as they serve in churches, associations or other agencies.
